Share a little about the company culture (what you’re most excited about as an employee):
Though I am an American, I have called Aruba my island for over 20 years. I get to share my love and passion for my island with others and promote happiness on a daily basis.

As it relates to romance travel, what unique value proposition(s) set your destination apart from the competition?
Perfect year round weather, unique locations and settings for weddings & photos throughout the island and since the island is so small it is easy to utilize the entire island, we have just one wedding a day providing full attention to the wedding couple on their special day

Can you share a success story (with WOW factors) when working with travel advisors?
I had an advisor inquiring about where her clients should stay. The man wanted to propose on the trip and wanted a large balcony facing the ocean with the sunset plus several other must haves. I was able to help select the ideal resort, which room category and provide contacts to help plan the proposal. She shared images of the proposal and her saying yes!

What is new and exciting that you were able to share with this year’s Romance CONNECT delegates?
New resorts being built & upgrades at current resorts.

The travel industry is forever evolving.  What are some of the trends you’re seeing, and what initiatives is your brand developing to support travel sellers grow their business?
We have a wedding incentive for travel advisors based on the number of room nights of a destination wedding. This is on top of what they may receive from their hotel or tour operator.

What can travel advisors expect when working with the Aruba Tourism Authority.
We are key for information. What to do, contacts on property or around the island. We have all that. We can provide insider’s tips and recommendations that you may not have thought of.

What tools/technologies do you have in place to support travel sellers? And, do they integrate into current available technologies? If yes, please share which ones.
Along with our Destination Specialist Course, we just launched a Romance course providing more details on proposals, bachelor & bachelorette trips, honeymoons, destination weddings and vow renewals. Your sales manager has a library of images available to share with you at your request. Just let us know what you are looking for and we will be happy to provide images for social media, websites or any of your needs.

When communicating with your company, what can travel advisors expect (ie turnaround time, dedicated point person, etc.)?
If they are not out on the road. If they are traveling without access to be able to follow up, they will provide contact for myself or Natasha who will be able to provide you with support immediately. Our NJ office has customer service representatives who can assist with many questions as well.

How and where can travel advisors book or get support when selling Aruba?
Aruba works closely with all tour operators. If you have a preferred supplier continue to work with them. We do trainings at all of their reservations offices so really it is who you prefer to work with.
